Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher,/bu:'SeI/boo-SHAY,[1] was born on 17 March 1988. Her stage name is Grimes. Her range of her earlier music has been called "lo the fi R&B" and "futuristic dance-pop". The artist has included elements of hip-hop electronic music and rock. She frequently incorporates science fiction as well as feminist themes in the lyrics. She's released five studio albums. Grimes was born in Vancouver and later moved to Montreal. Her first solo career in the late in the 2000s. In 2010, she dropped two albums through Arbutus Records, Geidi Primes (and Halfaxa), respectively. The album was released in 2012 and Visions the third album she released on her studio. She signed with 4AD. Visions features the singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion" and was awarded the Canadian music industry Juno Award for Electronic Album of the year. [5] Following this, she released her fourth studio album Art Angels, was launched in the year of 2015 and earned the acclaim of critics, with several publications having named it the best album of 2015. The fifth studio album Miss Anthropocene, was released in 2020. Outside of music, Grimes had a voice performance in the gaming action Cyberpunk 2077 and is a judge for the music competition game series Alter Ego.
